Compliment Bouquet - Therapeutic Art Women’s Circle

ART AS THERAPY

Art as therapy (aka therapeutic art) is an informal approach where the process of creating art provides relaxation, self-expression, and stress relief.

While both are beneficial, art as therapy focuses on the joy and mindfulness of creating.

DISCLAIMER: The term ‘therapy’ means that it benefits the body and mind and increases well being. Please note that it is NOT the same as being in therapy with a fully qualified therapist.

ART THERAPY

In contrast, art therapy is a structured, therapeutic practice led by a trained professional, using art-making as a tool to explore emotions, work through challenges, and support mental health.

sustainable art practices

At Dahlia therapeutic art, sustainability is at the heart of what we do

We strongly believe in being mindful of our impact on the environment, which is why we don’t stock large quantities of tools and materials. Instead, we use recycled and donated resources, or purchase minimal supplies, choosing items (as much as possible) that are eco-friendly and thoughtful.

This approach not only supports a more sustainable practice but also encourages creativity by repurposing and reimagining what’s already available.
